Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 9 July 2026

1. Who we are

Sporting Guardians is run by James Wild trading as Sporting Guardians.

Email: hello@sportingguardians.com

Postal address: Claremont, Godstone Hill, Godstone, Surrey, RH9 8AP

These Terms and Conditions apply to your use of www.sportingguardians.com, Sporting Guardians memberships, resources and the Ask a Question service.

2. Who may use Sporting Guardians

Sporting Guardians is intended for parents and guardians aged 18 or over.

By using the website or creating a membership, you confirm that:

  • you are at least 18 years old;
  • you are using the service as a parent, guardian or responsible adult;
  • any information you provide about a child is provided with parental responsibility or appropriate permission;
  • you will use the service lawfully and responsibly.

We do not provide child accounts.

3. What Sporting Guardians provides

Sporting Guardians provides resources, education and practical guidance for parents supporting a child's sporting journey. This may include written resources, membership content, parent guidance, Ask a Question support, written replies, voice-note replies and feedback on information or media you choose to submit.

From time to time, injury-related or physical development questions may be answered or informed by suitably qualified individuals, such as physiotherapists or other relevant professionals.

4. Important advice boundary

Sporting Guardians provides general guidance, education and support. It is not an emergency service and it is not a substitute for an in-person assessment by a doctor, physiotherapist, coach, safeguarding lead or other appropriate professional.

Although some injury-related guidance may be provided by suitably qualified individuals, remote advice is limited by the information you provide and does not replace a full clinical assessment.

You should seek appropriate professional advice where:

  • a child is injured, in pain, unwell or deteriorating;
  • symptoms are severe, unusual, persistent or worsening;
  • there is any concern about concussion, serious injury or medical risk;
  • you are unsure whether a child should train, compete or return to sport;
  • there are safeguarding, welfare or mental health concerns.

In an emergency, call 999 or seek urgent medical help. For non-emergency medical concerns in the UK, consider NHS 111, a GP, a qualified physiotherapist or another appropriate health professional.

You should not ignore professional medical advice because of something you read or receive through Sporting Guardians.

5. Parent and guardian responsibility

You remain responsible for decisions about a child's sport, training, competition, welfare and medical care.

When uploading or sharing information about a child, you must make sure that:

  • you have the right and permission to share it;
  • it is relevant to the question or support requested;
  • it does not unnecessarily identify or expose a child;
  • it is appropriate and respectful;
  • it does not include content you would not want stored or reviewed by Sporting Guardians or relevant contributors.

You must not upload anything unlawful, offensive, abusive, exploitative, unsafe or unrelated to the service.

6. Memberships, prices and free trial

Sporting Guardians currently offers:

  • monthly membership at £5.99 per month; or
  • annual membership at £60 per year.

Memberships include a 2-day free trial where offered at checkout.

Prices may change in future, but any price change will not affect a period you have already paid for. If a renewal price changes, we will aim to make this clear before the change applies.

7. Auto-renewal and cancellation

Memberships renew automatically until cancelled.

Monthly memberships renew each month. Annual memberships renew each year.

You can cancel through your account/subscription settings where available, or by contacting hello@sportingguardians.com. Cancellation stops future renewals. It does not normally remove access already paid for during the current billing period unless we agree otherwise or the law requires it.

You are responsible for cancelling before renewal if you do not want your membership to continue.

8. Refunds and goodwill policy

Your legal rights are not affected.

In addition to any rights you have by law, we aim to be fair and reasonable. If you forget to cancel after a free trial or renewal, contact hello@sportingguardians.com as soon as possible.

As a goodwill policy:

  • if you contact us within 14 days of your first paid charge after a free trial, we will normally refund that charge where you have not made substantial use of the service after the charge;
  • if you contact us within 14 days of an annual renewal, we will normally consider a full or partial refund depending on use and circumstances;
  • outside these periods, refunds are discretionary and may be offered where we consider it fair.

We may refuse a goodwill refund where there has been misuse, repeated refund requests, significant use of member content or Ask a Question support, or circumstances that make a refund unreasonable.

9. Online and digital content cancellation rights

Consumer cancellation rights can be complex for digital content and online services. Where the law gives you a cancellation right, we will respect it.

By starting a free trial, accessing member content, using Ask a Question or asking us to begin providing digital services during a cancellation period, you acknowledge that the service may begin before the usual cancellation period has ended.

This clause does not limit any rights that cannot legally be limited.

10. Ask a Question service

The Ask a Question service allows members to submit questions and, where available, supporting text, links, voice notes, photos or videos.

We aim to respond helpfully, but we do not guarantee:

  • a specific response time;
  • that every question can be answered fully;
  • that remote guidance will identify every relevant issue;
  • that advice will be suitable for every individual situation without further professional assessment.

We may decline to answer, or may advise you to seek professional support, where a question is outside the appropriate scope of the service.

11. Uploads, videos and voice notes

You are responsible for anything you upload or submit.

By submitting content, you give Sporting Guardians permission to store, review and use it for the purpose of providing the service, responding to your question, managing your account, keeping appropriate records and protecting our legal position.

You retain ownership of your own content. You must not upload content that infringes someone else's rights or privacy.

12. Intellectual property

The website, resources, text, graphics, branding, downloads, videos and other materials provided by Sporting Guardians are owned by Sporting Guardians or its licensors unless stated otherwise.

Your membership is for personal, non-commercial use by you as a parent or guardian. You must not copy, share, resell, publish, reproduce or distribute member-only content without written permission.

13. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • use the website unlawfully or fraudulently;
  • attempt to access another person's account;
  • share your login details outside your household;
  • upload harmful code or interfere with the website;
  • harass, abuse or threaten anyone;
  • upload inappropriate, exploitative or unlawful content;
  • use the service to obtain emergency medical, safeguarding or crisis support.

We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe these terms have been breached.

14. Third-party services and links

The website may use or link to third-party services, including Wix, payment providers, analytics tools, advertising platforms, mailing list tools and embedded video platforms.

We are not responsible for third-party websites or services. Their own terms and privacy policies may apply.

15. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the website and services available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, improve, suspend or remove parts of the service where needed.

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page.

16. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory consumer rights.

Subject to that, Sporting Guardians is not responsible for:

  • losses caused by your failure to provide accurate or complete information;
  • decisions you make without seeking appropriate professional advice;
  • indirect or consequential losses;
  • loss caused by third-party platforms or services outside our reasonable control;
  • business losses, as the service is intended for personal parent/guardian use.

Where we are legally responsible to you, our liability will be limited to the amount you paid to Sporting Guardians in the 12 months before the issue arose, unless the law says otherwise.

17. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If there is a dispute, the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, although consumers may have rights to bring claims in another UK jurisdiction depending on where they live.
